Across Quebec, nurses play a key role in advancing our quality of life and strive to improve their everyday practices for the well-being of us all. That means the improvement of healthcare is a collective responsibility.
At Gestisoft, our purpose is to be the leading business solution provider for Regulated Bodies and Professional Associations in Canada. We also believe that we must assume a corporate responsibility if we are to legitimize that position as leader.
For the 3rd year in a row, Gestisoft is playing a significant role in its community as a partner of the Fondation de l’Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec (OIIQ) by participating in the Soirée Florence, a gala benefit that recognizes nurses who have distinguished themselves during the year, combined with a fundraiser to support the development of high-benefit mobilizing projects for the entire profession.
Gestisoft would like to congratulate the 9 nurses receiving the Prix Florence 2016 awards, including Ms. Martine Mayrand Leclerc, winner of the “Rayonnement international” award. Ms. Mayrand Leclerc, inf., Ph.D., is a professor and researcher in nursing at Université du Québec en Outaouais. She has won acclaim for her international contribution to nursing care management. Since 2008, she has been teaching research and organization in nursing care and services at the Faculty of Science of Saint Joseph University in Beirut, Lebanon, as well as in masters programs at Institut supérieur des sciences infirmières de Sfax and École supérieure des sciences et techniques de la santé de Sousse, in Tunisia.
For a 3rd year, Gestisoft is honored to sponsor this “Rayonnement international” award, which recognizes the outstanding contribution of a nurse who has made a name for herself abroad working with humanitarian organizations or who has made any other professional contribution.
We would also like to acknowledge the advent of the right of nurses to prescribe in some clinical situations, and we are proud to be able to support this step forward for the profession, with our business solutions.
The gala evening raised $120,000.00 for the Fondation de l’Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec.
