Microsoft is introducing Dynamics 365, the next generation of intelligent business applications that enable your organization to grow, evolve, and transform to meet the needs of your customers and capture new opportunities. As a result, Microsoft is introducing new plans for customers that are similar, but not identical to your current plan.

The existing Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online plan has retired since November 1st, 2016. However, for your current subscription, this change won’t affect you right away. As a global administrator, you’ll receive email updates and see posts in the message center (part of the Office 365 admin center) with information on when you need to act.

When you are ready to move to a new plan—either now or during renewal—you’ll have options to choose from.

 DYNAMICS 365 LICENSING MODEL

The diagrams below present the new licensing model for Dynamics 365.  As shown below, Dynamics 365 can be licensed for an individual app or for multiple apps through a Plan.  A team member license is also available for viewing and light duties.

Important : Existing customers must choose which Microsoft Dynamics 365 licenses meet the needs of their organization. Simply transitioning existing licenses to the Dynamics 365 equivalent may not always be the best course of action.

Review the use rights below to determine the mix of user subscriptions that are suitable for your organization’s needs. Based on the use rights changes with the launch of Dynamics 365, this may be different than what you have today. PRICING

Dynamics 365 Enterprise Edition pricing (USD) is available on Microsoft Web site. Existing Dynamics CRM Online customers as of October 31st, 2016 qualify for transition pricing upon renewal to Dynamics 365 at a 20% discount rate.

How to upgrade to Dynamics 365

LICENSE TYPES:

Dynamics 365 Enterprise Capabilities
Plan 1 This option is ideal if you want to take advantage of functionality in multiple Dynamics 365 applications, or the new functionality that Dynamics 365 Enterprise Plan 1 must offer.
Plan 1 includes Sales, Customer Service, Project Service Automation, Field Service plus embedded PowerApps, Social Engagement, Gamification, Mobile Offline, and Voice of Customer.
Sales App This option is ideal if you want to maintain access to the Sales functionality you have today in CRM Online.
The Sales Application is intended for users who will be engaging in field sales, inside sales, sales management, partner sales, or any other full sales role.  This license includes all core sales functionality – Opportunity & Lead Management, Product & Price Lists management, competitor tracking, Quote/Order/Invoice, lightweight marketing capabilities, and Unified Service Desk.
This also includes the functionality needed to manage Sales performance plus embedded PowerApps, Social Engagement, Gamification, Mobile Offline, and Voice of Customer.
Customer Service App This option is ideal if you want to maintain access to the Customer Service functionality you have today in CRM Online. The Customer Service Application is intended for users who will be engaging in any kind of customer service role, from basic call centers to more advanced support scenarios, focused on case management.
This license includes all core Customer Service functionality – Case Management, Unified Service Desk and scripts, and SLA’s and Entitlements management, plus embedded PowerApps, Social Engagement, Gamification, Mobile Offline, and Voice of Customer
Project Service Automation App This option provides project-based functionality such as Project planning, Resource scheduling, Mobile productivity, Time & Expenses and Customer billing.
The license also includes PowerApps, Social Engagement, Gamification, Mobile Offline, Microsoft Project Online Premium, and Voice of Customer.
Field Service App Field Service is intended for users who will be engaging in any kind of field technician, scheduler, or dispatcher role requiring Optimized scheduling, Service agreements, Inventory management, Mobile productivity, Connected devices, Customer communications.
This license also includes PowerApps, Social Engagement, Gamification, Mobile Offline, Microsoft Project Online Premium, and Voice of Customer.
Team Members Intended for users that do not need access to full functionality of apps, this license provides read access across all applications and some write access for light duties.
